Let’s get back to basics for a minute…
- You’ve set your goal.
- Now check your goal.
There’s a tendency to reach too far, too high, too soon… I know, I’ve been there. So, speaking from personal experience there are a few things I need to share today!
If you’re setting a goal that’s a big leap from where you are right now, it’s probably going to take more than a month to get there. You’re not going to make it happen instantly. Instead, there has to be a progressive change.
You’re going to have to work at it, and work on it, and change the way you view yourself.
Remember: you’ve not achieved this goal in the past because your thoughts and feelings weren’t in alignment with it. You didn’t see yourself as someone capable of that.
Meaning, your self-image has to grow and change here. And reaching too far, too soon, isn’t going to allow that growth to happen.
Here’s what you should do right now:
Ask your soul-self, your inner-self, what you should be aiming for.
Ask if your goal is realistic in terms of time frame and current self-image.
Sit and let the insight rise up from within you.
Then do this exercise again later in the day to confirm that you get the same answer. Because real inner guidance is always repeated.
Here’s a few ideas to help you focus your goal:
- If you’ve got a business set up, you might just aim for an additional $1000 or $2000 over the month.
- Take the goal you set and halve it.
- Aim for that pair of shoes you’ve got your eye on but can’t afford.
- Aim for a deposit on the new car you want.
Of course, if you reach your goal in the next week or two you can always set another one…
But the problem most people face is the misguided notion that you can just state what you want and the Law of Attraction will bring it to you. You then feel disappointment, self-doubt, and will likely give up, because things don’t work out instantly!
So, you’ve gotta keep it simple, and simplicity comes from being willing to question and explore.
Think about it:
You set your goal. You do the exercise in the video I sent last week. You see the underlying thought and let it go.
A small ripple occurs. Something unexpected happens. There’s cause to see that you’re on the right track. You do a little happy dance!
Then nothing else happens and your little happy dance fades away.
What are you left with? You’re left with what was lying under the surface before that little breakthrough – the very blockage you need to recognize.
What does that look like for you? Do you call yourself a failure? This is most people’s fall back position.
What you can do here instead of falling trap to that mindset of failure is take a deeper look at what you’re trying to create. And ask yourself how you’ll keep a consistent focus and intuitive connection whilst you’re creating it?
Here’s some other great questions you can explore:
- Is this the right goal?
- Can I really do this right now or do I start smaller and learn the Art of Manifestation so that I can become an expert at it?
- Am I asking too much of myself too soon?
- Am I really superhuman, or should I just calm down a bit here?!
- If I’m not asking too much, then what else do I need to see to open the door further, within me, to this goal? Maybe I am superhuman, once I tap my inner creative energy, and can use it in previously unseen ways?! I wonder what that looks like…
Have a little fun here. Explore this world of manifestation. Watch that video I shared numerous times. And above all else, recognize that you are human, with a powerful creative energy within you that you are only just learning how to use.
So chill out a bit too, yeah?! You’ll get there. But only if you recognize those self-doubting thoughts, instead of letting them cause you to give up.
And make sure you check out the options below if you want further assistance. I know from personal experience, that some of those old self-doubts can really have their way with you…
