One more day in Bali and I’m actually feeling like I need to get home and get to work.
Don’t worry… I’m not that stressed about it! But I do have some new ideas that I want to get started on.
One of the things the Teachers always have encouraged me to see is that time out is ESSENTIAL if you want to succeed. And that’s often in direct opposition to what I’d been taught was ‘common sense’.
So I began to see early on that ‘common sense’ was never going to help me succeed. It was just other people’s ideas about what I ‘should’ do.
When I stopped trying to work 7 days a week I began to make more money.
When I’d follow guidance and lie on the lounge with a book for an afternoon (mid-week) I’d wake up the next day with a brilliant idea to put into place.
When I have time to just relax pool-side with my nieces and nephew, I begin to understand the Teacher’s bigger message and how to put it into place more fully. And to TEACH their ideas more completely.
This whole entrepreneurial thing is kinda confusing, I think.
People talk about hustle and others talk about patience.
I talk about listening to inner guidance and the Teachers guidance, which is the way I found my way through the fog.
Sometimes you gotta hustle. Sometimes you’ve gotta be patient. And it’s different in different situations at different times…
So, how do you know?
You just listen to that quiet, inner voice that never says ‘should’ or ‘can’t’. It just says ‘here’s how…’.
When you’re told to sit on the lounge and write a blog post, do it. When you’re told to go for a walk, do it. When you’re told you need to take a holiday even though your mind is telling you there’s other stuff to do, just follow that guidance.
It’s the only way us sensitive, intuitive, guided people can survive this journey to success. It has to be done our own way! Others might have good ideas, but none so powerful as our own inner voice.
