I’ve been thinking a lot about discipline lately. And about having the courage to let your intuition guide you more fully…
And one of those intuitions for me is a new Monday blog post sharing tips and tools to focus your week. My aim is to bring you more alignment with your intuition. And therefore, more guidance towards what you are trying to build in your life right now.
So, here I am!
I want to help you build more trust in your intuition and to help you be more pro-active in creating the life you want. And courage and discipline are core elements of this.
I believe it takes courage because our intuition will tell us to do the opposite of what we think we “should” do much of the time.
And it takes discipline to stay focused when we are challenged by old habits that seem so much easier to fall back into, than following that inner voice is.
To get started I’m sharing 3 simple steps below that will help you to build more trust in your intuitive faculty, so you can begin to create more and limit your successes less.
Step 1: Tune In
You can use this meditation every day to help you get aligned with higher wisdom. It’s really just a voice to guide you through the process. And that can be really useful if you find it hard to focus yourself.
Step 2: Write It Down
Then write down any insights, ideas, feelings, thoughts you receive in that meditative space.
It doesn’t matter if it’s something big or something small, just write it all down. Even if you think it’s just your imagination…
Be careful here not to judge anything you receive as right or wrong. As that’s where things get blocked up and you begin to rely on your mind for instruction. Your mind can’t guide you, however. It’s just a processing tool for turning your intuition into actionable steps. You need both your spiritual connection/intuition and your mental processes/mind.
Step 3: Let It Go
Put it all aside, and trust what happens through the day. This is the step that is missing for many people.
It’s easy to fall trap to thinking that you then have to stay super vigilant to what’s going on around you. But everything is already aligned, and your job is to move into that flow rather than forcing anything into place.
Step 4: Review
At the end of each day you might like to review what you wrote down after your meditation. It’s amazing how things can fall into place, around our intuitive ideas, through the day and we’ve not even realized.
Giving yourself space to review means that bit by bit, layer by layer you begin to see patterns emerging and trust building.
Remember that faith is belief in the absence of evidence. And your intuition speaks without any evidence of its truth being available to you in that moment.
Quite often the evidence will be found as you note down your intuition, and review what has happened over your day or your week.
Also remember that evidence of the trustworthiness of your intuition is not always found as solid things in the physical world. But is found in the building up of huge amounts of courage, ever-present wisdom, and long-term successes.
